Ah ha!!! -- I just noticed something else in this picture!!!

oh, boy, hoo hoo, you all will be amazed you missed this. Heh heh heh . Ooh boy oh boy, lol.

Well, here I am, lol, an old lady in her fifties, sitting here smoking my medicine and looking at this picture again (it's compelling somehow, isn't it?) -- and guess what I just noticed?!?

...

The DF'd woman is walking out the door, and what is the ONLY thing on the wall in the whole picture...?? heh he he , oh you will love this....

especially when you consider that on this side of the door there is only a foggy, diffused sort of light, almost misty and cloudy in some spots, especially above the older brother's head - it's like there is a little cloud of fog above his head! - But she walks through a clear, unblurred doorway, into an area where there is a CLEAR LIGHT in front of her!!!! Oh my. Love it. Don't you love it? 😀😀😀

The only source of visible, clearly-drawn light, is outside the freaking door, away from the mists and black and white dreamland.

Haha, LisaRose, I'm such an old lady-- when I first saw some sisters going without panty hose / nylons, it was shocking. No lady went out in public with bare legs! Maybe with shorts, but with a dress??!!?? And then when I saw some elder's wives wearing dresses and bare legs, well. That was very daring indeed. I would never have thought it appropriate. A shame I wasn't stumbled out of the truth then, would have saved me a couple of decades, or gave me a couple decades of my life back!!

And the female behind the two brothers that some of you say can also picture a submissive wife... She could also be a teenage girl, another "message" to the DF'd woman -- don't be proud, learn to be submissive (and accept counsel when young) as this young girl is properly showing, respecting her place and accepting the counsel provided by her elders and parents.... (And "loving elder"/ "eager to help elder" is implied by the exaggerated smile on the elder's face...)

And perhaps this is her father, as family head, taking the "lead" by approaching the elders with his daughter about a problem, probably a very personal or embarrassing problem, judging from the girl's depiction...

And ha, yes, I now see the Eye of Ra (or Horus?) on the little girl's sleeve, it is like a white tattoo.

And haha -- after I smoked something, I see an image on the wall at the back behind the two men... It looks like a male face all nuzzled up against a thigh or breast (mother?) but it did help to smoke something first.... :)

Also, in the recent shunning video posted from the 2015 RC, the Bethel couple said that the reason their son came back was so he could have association with his family again -- NOTHING about coming back for Jehovah or because he realized it was "the truth" -- he came back for being able to socialize with his family again!! Did anybody notice that?

And in this picture, if you follow the woman's eye line to where she is looking, it is toward the two women who are hugging each other in the front. - More emotional manipulation. Like, "See?!? You're missing out on this FELLOWSHIP and LOVE..!!

New David Splane Video: No 1900 Year Faithful Slave

governing body member david splane has a new video on tv.jw.org where he talks about all the horrible things committed by martin luther and the protestant reformers.. his conclusion is that there has been no faithful and discreet slave on the earth during the past 1900 years (before 1919 i guess.).

he also says that maybe there were a few anointed on earth, maybe not.. he did add an interesting statement that he doesn't condemn the other churches just for misunderstanding the bible because the society has done that.. another odd point, was that he actually mentioned catholic missionary work in a somewhat positive light, while totally condemning the reformation views on predestination..

Exactly, BU2B, it's all backwards, makes no sense.

Maybe they tried it that way first and saw how ugly it really was.... But who knows. They are so freaking clueless and cold hearted.

And I just noticed that the little girl is dressed exactly like the grandmother, or older mom or lady who is sitting beside her! Same dress pattern and even the top overcoat or blazer thing. And the little girl has her hair all up fancy like a much older person. All typical JW stupidness.

And those chairs are certainly popular, aren't they!? I wonder if the WTS owns stock in companies which produce chairs like that....

It's an interesting picture actually- yes, the way they contrasted the image so that all the emphasis and color is used on the DF'd female. She is the only one who really stands out. And they drew her standing with great posture and health -- nearly everyone else in the picture is BENT OVER or "crumpled up" somehow-- slouching, bent, or bowed down (all their heavy loads?) -- and the way the DF'd person is looking at them, head up, with a sad look yes, but not bowed down and cowering or scurrying away from the meeting with a shamed, hound dog, tail between legs demeanour. Very very interesting picture actually. Love your thoughts on the black and white aspect too.

What was your eye opening moment?

if you had to pinpoint the time or experience that finally made you open your eyes, what would it be?.

i think for me it was the time i saw my dad shun his brother who he had not seen in decades just because he was a da'ed jw.

i thought to my self "no way jesus would do that.

I had a few moments of doubt over the years, but submerged/suppressed them:

- why did Jehovah create Mosquitos if he so opposed to the eating of blood..?

- how could the angelic trumpet blasts from heaven, from book of Revelations, really be said to be resolutions passed at certain conventions in the 1920's? If they are so important and supposed to have the amazing impact they did, why do we not even talk about these resolutions or pronouncements, why are they forgotten?

- how is it possibly okay to take BLOOD FRACTIONS??? We constantly told that the person faithful in what is least is faithful in what is much..... And blood was this holy thing, the most sacred representation of life, and you couldn't even store your own blood, yet it's okay to take fractions made up from a whole bunch of other people's blood, and which is also stored??????

- but the kicker, the final thing which made me finally see this was all a crock of shit, was their publication, MY BOOK OF BIBLE STORIES, which I was going to give to my little grandkids. But then I looked at it as if through looking through their sweet little eyes -- and I thought, What kind of people could put out such a frightening book for little children, such dark, terrifying pictures!! So scary and so much hurt and blood... Who could put out and approve such a book for innocent little eyes?? Then I realized it was the governing body, a group of men who, for the most part, didn't even have children of their own! Once I questioned this, I saw that the GB were just making things up as they go, there was no Holy Spirit directing the publication of this malicious, evil book!

- which led me to read CoC, and ISoCF, and that was it.

A letter to Mr. Morris

dear mr. morris,.

i am writing this letter to request that you have an immediate meeting with jehovah regarding the tight pants, spanx (i think you mean spandex) issues.

it it clear from your pants rant that jehovah has focused his attention away from the billions of people currently suffering on the planet to address this specific issue.. today i observed a group of witnesses in my neighborhood.

omg, tight pants, colored socks.... I can't keep it all straight in my mind. If I wore colored pants and tight socks, would that be okay? Or would that be pushing it? Would Jehovah forgive me, or what if this should happen to a person who is dyslexic? Could they be granted a special dispensation?

And what about tight shirts for men? So far nothing has been mentioned about this, and I'm sure the brothers would really appreciate some direction about this too. If tight shirts are okay (at least until there is new light about this) then maybe some brothers might want to start working out or something, and then who knows how far this could go....

After all, Remember when it was a big deal when brothers started wearing COLORED SHIRTS on the platform? In our area, the brothers went from white shirts to BLUE shirts! *gasp* I know right!?!?!? Shocking stuff. There were many elders meetings about it, and then finally someone decided it was okay after all.

Phew. So that was a close one! But thankfully we can be assured that the brothers taking the lead would never behave anything like the Pharisees, making up silly rules on such things as these!

So! :) Are we not pleased to receive the guidance from the only seven men on earth today whom Jehovah is using to be his earthly representatives.... Yes, they alone have the wisdom from above which can help guide us and protect us from these terrible and subtle spiritual dangers, by especially arranging a special, worldwide assembly day and days to disseminate these powerful, life-saving truths to mankind, but especially toward his own chosen people on earth today, who become fellow light-bearers and share these truths with others who might not ever know these things otherwise.

With so so many things going on in the world today, it is good to focus on these more important things. And taking careful note. Yes, we do well to emulate these seven men on earth, these humble brothers of Christ Jesus, who take such a powerful lead over their flock of 8 million people around the earth today. Good thing these are humble, spiritual men, as otherwise they might overstep or go beyond what is written....

Just Want To Be Heard

i've been lurking here for a while now, and i guess you could call me a fader.

i don't have hate in my heart for the organization that i spent most of my life in, but i have had an awakening.

luckily, so has my wife, and that way i don't feel so alone.

I missed this post too the first time around... Such a beautiful poem, it expresses so perfectly everything wrong with the WT and the angst and cognitive dissonance it produces.

Welcome and thank you for sharing that. May your journey be blessed (by whatever forces or energies exist that may coordinate or randomly create fortunate occurrences... Ha, can you tell I have no idea what to believe in any more!)
